Knox County Clerk David Shelton has formally announced another run for Indiana Secretary of State.
In a statement released this week, the Republican says he is seeking the office and will bring integrity, innovation and bipartisan credibility to the 2026 campaign. He previously had sought the office in 2022.
Shelton was elected Knox County Clerk in 2019 and also serves as the Knox County GOP Party chairman.
The nomination will be decided at the 2026 Indiana Republican Party State Convention
