State Senator Mike Bohacek (R-Michiana Shores) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in February.
Kaitlyn Frick, from Bourbon, attends Triton Jr./Sr. High School
Gabe Smith, from Bremen, attends Leo Elementary School
Braylon Williamson, from Bourbon, attends Triton Jr./Sr. High School
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor, and interacting with their state senator.
"The page program is a great way for students to get a firsthand look at their state government," Bohacek said. "I'm always happy to meet pages from my district and answer any questions they have."
Students in grades 6 through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
