Shelbyville Central Schools will host a Parent Workshop on Dec. 9 at the administration building.
This free workshop for parents and guardians only will cover the topics:
- Is technology changing your child’s behavior?
- Stop the school/home behavior gap
- Accepting “No”
Those attending will learn how student technology use affects mood, attention, and social skills; discover practical, easy-to-implement strategies to make behavior expectations consistent between the classroom and your home; get expert guidance on teaching your child how to accept limits and build resilience when they don’t get their way.
The workshop begins at 6 p.m. at the administration building at 1121 E. State Road 44.
