Plymouth Police were dispatched late Monday night to the Family Express on West Jefferson Street for the report of a theft.
Witnesses told police that a man entered the store and left with an armful of items without paying for them.
Plymouth Police were able to ascertain the name of the suspect and located Jamari T. Roper, 19, at his residence in the 1400 block of West Madison Street.
Roper was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked in for theft-shoplifting and held on a $500 cash bond.
