On Monday, Fulton County deputies responded to a residence in the area of 5000 N. 600 E. regarding an unwanted guest.
Upon arrival, a deputy located Nora Jenkins, 42, of Rochester, sitting in a vehicle in the driveway. Jenkins displayed signs of
intoxication, and the homeowner reported she had damaged a window and the front door. He declined to pursue charges.
While speaking with the homeowner, Jenkins fled the scene in her vehicle. Deputies initiated a pursuit as she drove recklessly through county roads, failed to stop at multiple intersections, and traveled in the opposite lane toward oncoming traffic. The pursuit ended near the Menominee Access area after Jenkins struck a tree and was subsequently boxed in by responding units.
Jenkins refused commands and physically resisted officers. Deputy Dulin deployed K9 Agi to assist in removing her from the vehicle, after which officers were able to take her into custody.
She continued resisting during transport to Woodlawn Hospital for medical attention. While at the hospital, Jenkins struck staff, requiring officers to further restrain her. A blood draw was completed pursuant to a signed search warrant with the test results pending.
After being medically cleared, Jenkins was transported to the Fulton County Jail. Jail staff later located a green plant-like substance on her person, which was collected as evidence.
Jenkins was booked on the following charges:
• Operating While Intoxicated
• Leaving the Scene of an Accident
• Reckless Driving
• Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle
• Resisting Law Enforcement
• Disorderly Conduct
• Public Intoxication
• Possession of Marijuana
