The Red Hill Unit #10 Board of Education met in regular monthly session Thursday at Red Hill Junior/Senior High School in Bridgeport. They heard a presentation about the creation of a school based health clinic in the district from representatives of the Lawrence County Health Department. The matter will be studied over the next month prior to a board decision on whether to proceed. They also heard a presentation on creating a junior high cross country program but made no decision. The board did approve the FY 2024 amended budget and will have a budget hearing on June 20th. The FY 2025 school calender was also approved. Two project bids were accepted-just over $16,000 from Martinsville Roofing for work on the Sumner Attendance roof and around $36,200 from Alliant Engineering from Evansville Indiana for boiler repair work in the Jr/Sr high school south gymnasium.
