Pulaski County juveniles have been identified for their involvement in Jasper County burglaries.
On April 5, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department investigated two related criminal incidents that occurred in Wheatfield. The first incident involved an attempted burglary at a business near State Road 10 and 400 West. Deputies discovered that the suspects had fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
While deputies were actively investigating the attempted burglary, a second incident was reported at another business in Wheatfield near State Road 10 and State Road 49. In this case, the same suspects entered the establishment, stole multiple cases of beer, and fled the scene.
Thanks to swift investigative efforts—along with the cooperation of local business owners, their timely social media posts, and valuable tips from the public—the suspects were quickly identified as juveniles from Pulaski County.
The Jasper County Sheriff's Department stated it would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Pulaski County Juvenile Probation Department for their outstanding cooperation and support throughout this investigation. Despite it being a Sunday, members of their team responded promptly and took immediate action by placing the juveniles on ankle monitors to ensure accountability while the case was further developed.
Furthermore, their department conducted a detailed analysis of the suspects' cell phones, uncovering evidence of additional criminal activity.
