This Wednesday evening is the annual Marching Band Community Night Performance and Light Parade. This is always a special event as the community celebrates the high school band advancing to the Semistate.
The celebration lets band supporters cheer on the students as they compete this weekend at the ISSMA event.
The Rockpile Stadium will open at 8:30 p.m. and the entire community is encouraged to attend. The band will take the field at 8:45 p.m. to share this year’s performance.
Following the performance at 8:45 is the Light Parade.
If you have not attended this event before, bring anything that lights up for the parade (flashlights, lightsabers, light-up toys, etc.).
Band Director Bryan Ames said, “In the past, we have even had parents make light-up signs! Please help make this a special event for our kids and all the hard work they have put in this season!”
The crowd will form a light path for the band to march through as they head back to the school. Everyone is encouraged to bring their lights and participate in the parade event.
