The Shelbyville Police Department responded to the 700 block of Highpoint Monday at approximately 7 p.m. for a male with a firearm experiencing a mental health issue.
The Shelbyville Police Department, SWAT and crisis negotiators were called to the scene.
After a few hours of talking with the man, the incident came to a successful conclusion with no injuries.
