Plymouth Police arrest 3 on Sunday for driving violations

Officers with the Plymouth Police Department arrested three people on Sunday, September 13th, in separate traffic stops across the city, all stemming from driving violations.

The first arrest came at 10:12 a.m., when Officer Krynock stopped a vehicle on U.S. 30 at Pioneer Drive for a traffic infraction. The driver, Jerard M. Stalling, 48, of Gary, was found to have a driver's license status of suspended-prior. Stalling was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

At noon, Patrolman Thornton initiated a traffic stop for an expired registration. While speaking with the driver, it was determined that she did not have active insurance. The driver, Hannah Oh, 32, of Illinois, had a current driving status of suspended-prior. When Oh was taken into custody, suspected paraphernalia was found in her pocket, leading to the discovery of additional paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Oh was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for driving while suspended and possession of paraphernalia.

The third arrest occurred Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:00 p.m., when Patrolman Thornton stopped a vehicle in the Dollar General parking lot on Oak Drive due to false and fictitious registration. During the investigation, the driver, Kristen D. Fritter, 45, of Plymouth, was determined to have a suspended license. Fritter was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with driving while suspended.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
