Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for disregarding a stop sign at Oak Drive and Hoham Drive on Saturday, April 12th, at 6:50 p.m. The vehicle pulled into the Showland parking lot, and the officer conducted his investigation.
The driver was later identified as Cerlin Alvarez Hernandez, 34, of West Harrison Street in Plymouth. During the traffic stop, it was determined that Alvarez Hernandez had never obtained a driver's license. He was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked for operator never licensed.

Early Sunday morning, April 13th, at approximately 2:40 a.m. a Plymouth police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Plum and North Street for a moving violation. During the officer's investigation, the driver was identified as 27-year-old Arlin Herrera-Caballero, of 1535 North Michigan Street in Plymouth. Herrera-Caballero was found to have never been issued a driver's license and was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail with a previous conviction.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
