A Plymouth man was arrested in the early morning hours of Monday, July 20th, after emergency responders found him passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at a busy intersection on U.S. 30.
At approximately 12:07 a.m., Marshall County Central Dispatch broadcast a report of a male slumped behind the wheel of a black Cadillac at the intersection of King Road and U.S. 30. Plymouth Fire/EMS and Marshall County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene.
During the investigation, deputies determined that the driver, Daniel Moreno, 24, of Jackson Heights Road in Plymouth, was exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication. Moreno was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .15 percent or more and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with endangerment. His cash bond was set at $1,500 and he was released on bond Monday afternoon about 2:30.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
