A Plymouth man faces a shoplifting charge after allegedly stealing multiple bottles of alcohol from a local supermarket on New Year's Eve.
Plymouth Police were dispatched to Martins Supermarket, 865 East Jefferson Street, at approximately 7:36 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, following a report that a man had stolen several bottles of alcohol and left the store.
City officers located the suspect, Timothy M. Shadrix, 44, of Lincoln Lake Drive in Plymouth, near Lincoln Junior High School, a short time later. He was taken into custody without incident.
Shadrix was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a preliminary charge of theft-shoplifting. A court date was issued, and a bond was set at $500 cash.
The case will be reviewed by the Marshall County Prosecutor's Office for potential formal charging.
