Plymouth High School senior Olivia Burch has been awarded the highly coveted Stamps Scholarship to attend Purdue University. The scholarship is recognized as one of Purdue’s most competitive and selective awards, granted to students who distinguish themselves through exceptional academic achievement and community leadership.
The prestigious award covers the comprehensive cost of earning a bachelor’s degree at the university, including full tuition, fees, room, and board.
Furthermore, as a Stamps Scholar, Burch will receive up to $10,000 in enrichment funding. This additional financial support is designed to fund extracurricular educational opportunities, such as summer research internships, study abroad programs, professional academic conferences, and other career-building experiences.
The Stamps Scholarship was established at Purdue in 2011 through the generosity of Roe and Penny Stamps. The program selects individuals who represent some of the top students in the nation. Beyond financial support, the program connects recipients with a prestigious national network of fellow Stamps Scholars and alumni.
Plymouth High School officials expressed immense pride in Burch's outstanding accomplishment. "Her hard work, leadership, and dedication have earned her this remarkable opportunity, and we look forward to seeing all she will accomplish at Purdue University," the school shared in a statement.
