Plymouth High School is set to celebrate Winter/Basketball Homecoming with a full week of spirit, student involvement, and Friday night excitement as the Pilgrims host Concord.
The celebration begins with a schoolwide Spirit Week, giving students and staff a chance to show their school pride through daily dress-up themes.
Friday’s festivities will include a pep rally where Homecoming nominees will be introduced, and students will compete in class competitions featuring fun games between freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The Plymouth High School cheerleaders will perform during the pep rally and again later that evening at the basketball game.
This year’s Princess nominees include Juniors Vivy Miller and Jenna Blake, Sophomores Sophia Funk and Vivian Seagraves, and Freshmen Hayden Shipley and Brooklyn Scruggs. Prince nominees include Juniors Russell Antrim and Waylon Pitts, Sophomores Lance Weldon and Ryder Goodman, and Freshmen Manny Galeano and McKoy Gantz.
The Prince and Princess will be crowned at halftime of the JV game on Friday night.
Nominees for King and Queen are all seniors. Queen candidates are Meredith Borden, Jersey Hunter, Mia Hartley, Sophia Cantero, and Olivia Burch. King candidates are Grady Metsker, Finn Holm, Freddy Kallenberg, Jonah Rich, and Ray Ye.
The King and Queen will be crowned before the start of the varsity game. Friday night’s basketball action will feature Plymouth facing Concord, with the JV game tipping off at 6:15 p.m., followed by the varsity matchup.
Students are encouraged to take part in the fun by dressing to the “Minions” theme for the game. Good Luck Pilgrims!
