Plymouth High School announced the appointment of Greg Miller as the new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Tuesday evening during the school board meeting.
Coach Miller is equipped with extensive coaching experience and a history of remarkable achievements in his previous roles.
Miller joins us from Bethel University, where he served as the Associate Head Coach for the 2023-24 season. Before that, he led the basketball program at Trinity International University near Chicago from 2019-2023, transforming the team from a 6-23 record to an impressive 18-14 by his final season. At Cincinnati Christian University, where he coached from 2017-2019, Miller not only improved the team's performance on the court but also significantly raised the team GPA from 2.16 to 3.06, emphasizing his commitment to both athletic and academic excellence.
Miller’s coaching career follows a distinguished playing career at Grace College, where he was an NAIA All-American. He graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s in Business Administration and Sports Management, scoring 1,873 career points and grabbing 1,052 career rebounds, ranking 11th and 8th all-time at Grace College at the time of his graduation.
Coach Miller, his wife Gabby, and their daughter are already active members of the Plymouth community as current residents and look forward to deepening their roots here.
Miller expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I look forward to positively impacting the lives of young men through the game of basketball. I’m excited to build leaders and have our student-athletes pursue excellence on and off the floor. I look forward to building a program the community is proud of and giving back in a variety of ways to the community as well!” We invite the community to join us for a special "Meet the Coach" night, where all can welcome Greg Miller and get to know the new head coach of Plymouth Boys Basketball.
