The Plymouth High School Competition Cheer Team delivered a standout performance at the UCA Hoosier Regional last weekend, earning 3rd place and officially qualifying for UCA Nationals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, taking place January 29–February 1.
The placement marks another historic accomplishment in a season defined by breakthrough moments. Earlier this fall, the team competed in Game Day and Timeout for the first time, qualified for State, earned runner-up honors, and continued elevating expectations for what the Plymouth program can achieve. Head Coach Brenna Langowski shared that the team’s determination and adaptability were crucial to their success. “This competition pushed us in every way. We battled nerves, last-minute adjustments, and the pressure of performing against some of the strongest programs in the region. Our athletes had to be adaptable, coachable, and fully locked in. They proved they could rise to the occasion, even when the environment felt overwhelming, or the stakes were high.”
Coach Langowski also credited the athletes’ leadership and team culture as a driving force. “Our seniors set the tone early, modeling what hard work and positivity look like. When adversity showed up—injuries, long practices, or rough days—they rallied around each other instead of backing down. Their resilience has become one of our biggest strengths, and their teamwork is the reason we’ve been able to continue making PHS cheer history.”
This season has reshaped the long-term vision of Plymouth Cheer. “This season has completely reset the standard for what Plymouth cheer can be. We’re no longer just participating; we’re competing. The foundation laid this season will benefit Plymouth cheer for years to come.”
Langowski described this group as uniquely driven. “This team is special because they’re fearless. They say yes to big goals, even when it means being the first group to try something new. Their buy-in, their trust in us as coaches, and their willingness to push past comfort zones set them apart. Their love for each other shows in every performance.”
Behind the scenes, the athletes commit to hours of preparation that often go unseen. “The community sees three minutes on the mat or four quarters on the sidelines—but they don’t see the conditioning, repetition, strength work, and mental preparation these athletes put in. They pour everything they have into representing Plymouth with pride.”
With Nationals approaching, the team is refining their routine and sharpening their mindset. “Our goal is simple: continue raising the bar,” Langowski said. “We want a routine that reflects our growth, showcases our strengths, and makes our community proud. Qualifying was huge, but now we want to show we belong on a national stage.” She added that the team is focused on consistency, confidence, and preparation to perform with poise in a high-stakes environment.
The Plymouth High School Competition Cheer Team will take the mat at UCA Nationals, January 29 through February 1, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
