The person responsible for a threat to an area high school has been found.
The threat against Lewis Cass Jr. / Sr. High School was made on internal email. A release by Lewis Cass Superintendent Chris Daughtry states the individual responsible has been identified as a student enrolled in the school.
Due to privacy laws, school officials cannot share the student’s name or personal information. The superintendent writes that he wants the public to understand that the situation is being thoroughly addressed as administration and local law enforcement have worked to investigate the matter. He further writes that appropriate actions consistent with district policy and law enforcement guidance are being taken.
No further description of the threat has been given.
