A mumbling call to 911 sent Plymouth Police Officers to the Super 8 motel on Monday morning, September 16th, at about 3:30. The caller mumbled something about drugs to the operator and said they may be in room 110.
When city officers arrived at 2160 North Oak Drive, they spoke to the front desk employee who said the man in room 110 appeared to be on something, and she had moved him to another room. Officers searched both rooms but couldn’t locate the suspect. He was later found hiding in the laundry area and identified as 37-year-old Orlando D. Moore of South Bend.
Moore appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic and admitted to officers that he had ingested cocaine approximately thirty minutes prior.
Orlando Moore was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was held on a $250 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
