One person is dead and another hospitalized after a two vehicle accident in southwestern Indiana Sunday. The Gibson County Sheriffs Department reports they were dispatched around 11:30 a.m. CT after receiving a report of a collision at a rural intersection. Upon arrival, emergency medical personnel attempted to resuscitate one of the drivers, but that person died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to an Evansville hospital for treatment. Authorities say the initial investigation indicates that one of the vehicles involved failed to yield and collided with the side of the other at the intersection. No other information, including the name of the deceased, has yet been released pending completion of the accident investigation.
