One man was injured after being struck by a vehicle late Thursday afternoon in Lawrenceville.
Illinois State Police report that the mishap occurred on State Street just west of the 12th Street intersection downtown. A 2012 Dodge being driven by 25-year-old Kassidy McBride of Bridgeport was making a right turn onto State from 12th and struck a pedestrian, 68-year-old Stephen Anderson of Lawrenceville as he was crossing the street. Anderson was hurt and was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He was treated for a head laceration and bumps and bruises and later was released. McBridge was not injured.
