102nd District Republican State Representative Adam Niemerg hosted another of his regional mayors roundtable discussions in Casey. The meetings are designed to allow the district's mayors to meet face to face with their peers and with Niemerg to discuss issues important to their cities, towns and villages. Mayors from host Casey along with Oblong, Martinsville, Rose Hill and other cities were on hand. Some of the topics brought up were home rule issues, economic development, public safety needs and control of local funding. Niemerg talked with the group about ways to wade through the bureaucratic shuffle of the state capital of Springfield. He also indicated that the meetings have been well recieved and others are planned in the future.
