The Indiana Department announces a new ramp closure impacting Interstate 74 westbound at State Road 63 (Exit 4) in northern Vermillion County, as part of an ongoing intersection improvement project.
The westbound entrance ramp at Exit 4 closed the week of August 18. The work is anticipated to last until late September but is weather-dependent and subject to change. The eastbound on and off ramps of I-74 that were previously closed are now open.
Traffic entering westbound I-74 will be directed to enter from the eastbound lanes, and to turn around at Exit 8 to continue onto westbound I-74.
INDOT encourages drivers to use caution and avoid distractions in and around work zones, and to seek an alternate route around the ramp closures.
