Vincennes University(VU) this week announced the appointment of Mandy Haag as the permanent Dean of the College of Science, Engineering and Mathematics.
She has served as the interim dean since August of 2025 after taking over the vacant position when Curt Coffman left to accept a position with the state of New Mexico.
Haag joined VU in 2005 as a professional tutor and adjunct instructor in the Mathematics Department. She went on to become a full-time assistant professor in 2012 and was named as the Mathematics Department chair in 2019. She also spent time as a student advisor in pre-veterinary technology programs.
University Provost Jaci Lederman announced the appointment of Haag and said her leadership during her time as interim dean made her the right choice to lead the college on a permanent basis.
