A burglary report early yesterday morning led to the arrest of two men in Terre Haute.
The call came at around 3:30 in the morning when THPD officers were alerted to a possible burglary at S 29th Street and Hulman Avenue. When officers arrived, they immediately began a pursuit with an SUV that was towing a trailer of possibly stolen materials.
The vehicle that fled crashed into several concrete blocks near South 22nd Street and Washington Avenue. The suspects then fled on foot before surrendering to THPD K9 Unit Dog Rocky. The two men who were arrested were the driver, 37-year-old Eric Patton of Terre Haute, and 30-year-old Zachary Stableton._
The two men were found to have been in possession of stolen items. Both face charges of theft and resisting law enforcement. Patton also faces driving with a suspended prior driver's license.
