40-year-old Michael Rash of Nutmeg Ridge in Plymouth was arrested on Monday, September 16th, after Plymouth Police were contacted via Facebook Messenger about a possible domestic situation at Shade Masters, 900 West Jefferson Street.
At approximately 6:00 pm, officers located the victim, Janelle Rash, inside the business. The suspect, Michael Rash, returned to the scene moments after the police arrived.
The victim told Officer Lovely that her husband had battered her and that she had locked herself in the bathroom while she contacted the police. The police report states that Janelle Rash had several marks and cuts on her body, as well as complaints of internal pain.
Michael Rash had what appeared to be a minor scratch and abrasion.
During the investigation, it was determined that there was a primary aggressor in this situation. Michael Rash was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged for criminal confinement, resulting in moderate bodily injury as a level 4 felony, domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, and strangulation, both as level 6 felonies. He was held on a $3,000 cash bond.
