MHP Primary & Specialty Care: Family & Internal Medicine has received all three of the American Heart Association’s outpatient program achievement awards for a fourth year in a row.
The recognition highlights MHP’s commitment to reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke by improving management of high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, and blood pressure.
Cardiovascular disease continues to be a major health concern, affecting nearly half of adults across the United States. Conditions such as high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart failure. Early detection, effective treatment, and ongoing patient education play an important role in reducing these risks and improving long-term health. MHP's recognition highlights its continued dedication to helping patients manage these conditions and achieve better health outcomes.
"As Medical Director of the Cardiometabolic Program, I am proud that Major Health Partners has achieved the American Heart Association’s highest level of recognition for blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes control for the fourth consecutive year," said Dr. Emily Ann Andaya, Medical Director of the MHP Cardiometabolic Program. "This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our clinicians and care teams and their unwavering commitment to delivering the highest quality of care to our patients."
"At MHP, our vision is to provide exceptional cardiometabolic care to every patient we serve. Achieving these recognitions is a significant milestone, but this is only the beginning. Our aspiration is to become a leader in cardiometabolic care. By placing our patients at the center of everything we do, we aim not only to improve clinical outcomes but also to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the health of our community," shared Dr. Andaya.
