Marshall County is currently under a Winter Weather Advisory, issued by the National Weather Service, effective from 5 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Tuesday. Residents are advised to prepare for hazardous road conditions due to expected snowfall.
Forecasters anticipate total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches across portions of northern Indiana, including Marshall County. These conditions are expected to create slippery roads, significantly impacting both the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.
"Marshall County remains under a travel advisory due to this weekend's lingering snow and ice, plus the threat for additional accumulation tonight. We urge all drivers to proceed with caution if they need to travel, including reducing their speed and allowing extra time to reach their destination. Keep yourself and other drivers safe!" said Marshall County EMA Director Jack Garner.
Drivers should plan accordingly and be prepared for reduced visibility and slick surfaces. For the latest road conditions, motorists are encouraged to call 511.
