Marshall County EMA Director Jack Garner recently put out the latest weather update on the potential lake effect snow event tomorrow and Monday. The graphic shows the snowfall forecasts for our area from the local National Weather Service office.
The EMA director is becoming increasingly confident that Marshall County will receive at least some moderate impacts from this event. The Winter Storm Watch will go into effect at 4 pm on Sunday and remain until 7 pm Monday.
Garner says to keep in mind that this is a lake-effect scenario so that snow totals can vary greatly. Polk Township could get a foot of snow, and Tippecanoe Township could get an inch.
