The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call at 8:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, regarding a vehicle collision resulting in personal injury.
The Marshall County Police, Bremen Police, Bremen Fire, and Tri-County EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Fir and 4th Roads.
Deputy Ryan Hollopeter investigated the accident and determined that a 2016 Mercedes Benz GLA, driven by an unnamed 17-year-old juvenile, was traveling southbound on Fir Road when it collided with the back of a small single-horse-drawn cart. Three juvenile occupants were riding in the cart, and the impact from the crash ejected all three from it. The unidentified juveniles were all declared deceased at the scene.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating this collision.
Other agencies assisting at the scene include additional officers from the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, Bremen Police Department, Indiana State Police, the Bremen Fire Department, Tri-County EMS, Marshall County Coroner's Office, and the Marshall County Highway Department.
