Marshall County residents can learn how to stay safe during severe weather at a free event in early March.

The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency is hosting a severe weather preparedness session on Monday, March 9th at the Marshall County Museum. The event runs from 6 to 7:30 PM.

This comes during Indiana's Severe Weather Preparedness Week, which runs March 8th through the 14th. After last spring's damaging storms, EMA Director Jack Garner says it's more important than ever for residents to be prepared.

The session will cover weather terminology, why storms form, and Marshall County's recent severe weather history. Attendees will also learn how to spot dangerous conditions and create safety plans for their families.

Seating is limited, and registration is required. You can sign up through a link on the Marshall County EMA website https://forms.gle/ZrK9X9XeTVXERTZ99 or by using the QR code in this article.
