On Wednesday, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Drug Task Force coordinated and executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Gilbert Lane in Bremen. During the warrant service, officers located multiple firearms along with suspected cocaine and marijuana.
Ramon Solis, 40, of Bremen, and Xavier Solis, 21, of Bremen, were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Ramon Solis was charged with dealing in cocaine as a Level 2 Felony and has no bond.

Xavier Solis was charged with maintaining a common nuisance and possession of cocaine, which are level 6 felonies. He was given a $1,500 cash bond.

The investigation also revealed Ramon Solis is an illegal alien. The case will be forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutors Office for review.
Sheriff Matthew Hassel would like to thank all the Marshall County officers and assisting agencies for investigating and executing the search warrant. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department takes drug crimes very seriously because they contribute to almost 80% of the criminal activity in Marshall County, directly and indirectly.
Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Bremen Police Department, NET43, and Indiana State Police assisted the Marshall County Drug Task Force.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
