The Marshall County Council convenes at 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building. The agenda includes subcommittee reports from the Budget/Finance, Highway, and Job Classification/Compensation panels, along with a report from County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters. The council will also consider additional appropriation and transfer requests, approval of the Lebbin Law Invoice, and updates on Compliance Forms related to the county's Tax Abatements. The meeting will include time for public comment and will be streamed live on the county's YouTube channel.
In Plymouth, the Board of Public Works and Safety meets at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Department heads from various city departments will present reports, and the board will consider a parking request for Hinterland Bookery and approve claims.
The Plymouth Common Council follows at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to take up several items, including second and third reading of an ordinance amending fees for permits and applications. The City Attorney will also present two minor proposed amendments to the city's Zoning Ordinance. On first reading, members will consider an ordinance to vacate a portion of the alley east of Dora Lane and south of Illinois Street for a Habitat for Humanity project. The council will also consider accepting donations and a resolution in support of Project Fire Buddies.
