Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation after receiving information that a female, under the age of 14, had been molested.
The investigation revealed that Thomas Edenfield Jr., 42, of Poland, Indiana, allegedly molested a female under the age of 14.
After reviewing the investigation, the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office requested an arrest warrant for Edenfield. Clay County Circuit Court granted an arrest warrant on March 13, 2025. Edenfield was arrested over the weekend by the U.S. Marshals Task Force without incident. He is currently being held in the Clay County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Edenfield faces charges of:
Child Molesting where defendant is at least 21 years of age, Class 1 Felony
Vicarious Sexual Gratification victim under the age of 14, Class 4 Felony
Child Solicitation victim under the age of 14 to engage in fondling/touch, Class 5 Felony
Possession of Child Pornography, Class 6 Felony
