Marshall County Police are investigating the report of a 20-year-old male being shot 1 a.m. Sunday in the 3,000 block of Tamarack Road.
Officers from the Mashall County Sheriff's Department and Walkerton Police Department responded. The male subject was treated at the scene and later transported to Memorial Hospital located in South Bend for life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, county police arrested Cole Enyeart, 22, from Mishawaka. He was charged with criminal recklessness-shooting a firearm into an inhabited structure as a Level 5 felony. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond until 9 a.m. Sunday and released once the bond was posted.

Xochltl Soto, 20, also of Mishawaka, was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor as a class C misdemeanor. She was released on a $100 cash bond just before 9 a.m. Sunday.

Alexader W. Renfroe, 20, of Elkhart was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, as a Class C misdemeanor, and for possession of marijuana, as a Class C misdemeanor. Renfroe was released Sunday morning at nine after his $250 cash bond was posted.
