Five undocumented immigrants were arrested in Missouri on accusations of kidnapping a 14-year-old Cass County girl.
Court documents revealed that on June 17, the Missouri State Highway Patrol were informed about an active search of a missing Indiana juvenile believed to be traveling in the state.
The father of the teen had reported the youth missing to the Logansport Police Department after claiming that he witnessed the girl entering a vehicle, later determined to be a black Dodge Duragno with unknown registration.
Missouri troopers were notified that the missing teen's cell phone had pinged on a vehicle going westbound on U.S. 35, near Hannibal, Missouri.
A Missouri trooper in Macon County, Missouri had noticed an SUV matching the description of the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
Shortly after the stop, the trooper noticed a girl in the backseat who soon identified herself as the missing teenager. Court documents stated that authorities believed the men had been transporting the young girl to California.
The girl was quickly removed from the vehicle and taken safely into police custody.
Marlon Aguilar and Carlos Funez, both of Honduras, and Arturo Eustaquio, Noe Guzman Hernandez and Daniel Ruiz Lopez, all of Mexico, were arrested and booked at the Macon County Jail. Each face felony charges of kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child
