Logansport Memorial Hospital (LMH) has officially joined Parkview Health as Parkview Logansport Hospital (PVLOG), advancing a shared commitment to preserve and expand access to high-quality care for rural and regional communities in Indiana.
The affiliation follows a formal agreement signed earlier this year.
Parkview Logansport is an 83-bed, full-service hospital accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and has long been recognized for providing quality care for the Cass County region.
As part of the agreement, approximately 750 co-workers, physicians and advanced practice providers will join Parkview.
“We’re grateful to everyone who played a role in bringing this affiliation to fruition, and we’ll continue working very closely with the Logansport team to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition,” said Dr. Ray Dusman, president, physician and clinical enterprise, Parkview Health. “As Parkview deepens its presence in north central Indiana, we look forward to the positive impact we can have together, both in delivering quality care and in serving as a trusted community partner.”
The affiliation supports Parkview’s broader vision of bringing advanced care to patients close to home, particularly in underserved and rural regions. By growing in Logansport, Parkview aims to reinforce the hospital’s long-term sustainability, support its caregivers and provide patients with greater access to specialty providers, innovative technology and systemwide clinical and non-clinical expertise.
“As our community knows, we’ve worked hard to remain independent and sustain our operations,” said Tara McVay, president, PVLOG (formerly president and CEO at LMH). “At this point in our journey, partnering with Parkview is the right decision for our patients and our future. We’re incredibly proud of our century-long history, and with Parkview’s support, we’re positioned to grow and strengthen local healthcare for the next 100 years.”
As part of the affiliation, PVLOG will gradually integrate with Parkview’s systems and infrastructure. While patients may notice new branding and signage over time, the same dedicated teams will continue to provide care locally.
“Joining Parkview is not about changing who Logansport is, but supporting what they do best,” added Dr. Dusman. “We share a deep commitment to serving our communities with excellence, compassion and integrity. We’re honored to support and expand care options in a way that reflects our shared values.”
Parkview has continued to grow its network to meet the evolving needs of patients across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. The health system’s growth in Logansport builds on that momentum in the system’s south market, which also recently announced an expansion to Marion, Indiana.
