Students from 12 area high schools recently participated in the 2025 Academic Challenge for Engineering and Science competition at Olney Central College and sponsored by Eastern Illinois University.
Among the Division 300 schools competing this year was Lawrenceville High School.
Division 300 was won by Oblong. Edwards County was second and Lawrenceville was third.
The first and second place teams in each division advance to the next level.
Individual awards were presented in each division.
Congratulations to Aidan Secrest and Kenlee Dohoney both from Lawrenceville High School.
The duo finished first and second respectively in the Division 300 chemistry competition.
