A local man has been sentenced to over 15 years in prison for methamphetamine distribution in Lawrence County.
49-year-old Jeffrey Metz of Lawrenceville has plead guilty to four counts in U.S. District Court in Benton and was sentenced earlier this month.
He was charged with the distribution of 25 grams of the drug in October and November of 2024.
The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force (SEIDTF), and the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department (LCSD) were involved in the investigation of the case.
