An investigation into alleged sexual incidents in Lawrence County has led to the arrest of a local man.
The Illinois State Police Tuesday, June 23rd arrested 82-year-old Jackie Hamilton of Bridgeport at his residence. He was preliminarily charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault. No other details surrounding the arrest were given as the investigation continues.
Hamilton was transported to the Lawrence County Jail in Lawrenceville and was booked in. He remains incarcerated there on the charges pending a detention hearing.
