Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop has announced the sentencing of a local woman to prison in Lawrence County Circuit Court. 39 year old April Swanson of Lawrenceville was sentenced on a charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 2 Illinois Felony. She had previously been placed on felony probation, but violated the terms. Swanson was given 3 1/2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections to be followed by 1 year of mandatory supervised release.
