The Lawrence County Board had animal control matters at the forefront of their monthly session Wednesday.
They approved both Dr. Gary VanWinkle and Dr. Kelsey Roberts as county animal control co-administrators.
The duo will oversee those type issues and also the newly updated county animal control ordinance.
The ordinance was recently revamped for the first time since 2002 and brings the county up to state requirements.
The board also approved the transfer of $100,000 into it's capital building improvement fund
Accepted was the bid of just over $837,000 from Samron Midwest Contracting for the construction of a new single span bridge and approach over Mad Creek located 1 mile west of Chauncey.
