Units of the Lawrence Allison Fire Protection District (LAFPD) were mobilized twice Wednesday. They were dispatched to Westport in eastern Lawrence County on what turned out to be an inadvertent alarm. The Vincennes Fire Department did send personnel for precautionary mutual aid to the location. They were later called out to a residential fire at 15th and Dubois Streets in Lawrenceville. A fire was reported in the basement of the location. No word on any injuries, a cause or a damage estimate. The Bridgeport Fire Protection did respond to the scene in mutual aid.
