Plymouth Police responded to a manufacturing industry on PIDCO Drive Thursday after an employee allegedly pulled a knife on a coworker.
At approximately 3:40 a.m., Plymouth police were dispatched to WestRock at 1000 PIDCO Drive in the Plymouth Industrial Park in reference to a male who had pulled a knife on a coworker.
Officer Lovley arrived and located Keith Ziaja, 38, of Knox, inside his vehicle in the parking lot.
During the investigation for intimidation, it was discovered that Ziaja was under the influence of alcohol. An OWI investigation was completed, and Ziaja was taken into custody. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and lodged for operating a vehicle while intoxicated as a class C misdemeanor.
The intimidation charges are included in the report that will be sent to the Marshall County Prosecutor's Office for further review. Ziaja was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
