Reports out of Knox County indicate that the County Commissioners have scheduled a public meeting to discuss solar development projects.
Commission President T.J. Brink says that the session will be strictly informational and will allow concerned citizens the opportunity to hear from industry experts about the ramifications of utility-scale solar projects and their effects on the community. Among the topics to be discussed are property values, economic development and vegetation effects.
It is hoped that the meeting will help the public better understand the solar power industry and cover questions people may have. It is set for Wednesday, August 12th at 6 p.m. EDT at the Blue Jeans Center located in Monroe City.
