The Duke Energy Foundation announced nearly $50,000 in grants to 10 Indiana organizations that serve veterans and military families. The funding will support programs that honor Hoosier veterans and help them with transitional housing, mental health services and essential needs in communities across the state.
“Veterans embody service, leadership and commitment – qualities that strengthen our communities every day,” said Stan Pinegar, president of Duke Energy Indiana. “These grants are a token of our appreciation and a way to help local partners deliver the housing, counseling and basic needs that veterans and their families deserve.”
Among the grants from Duke Energy:
- Irreverent Warriors (Knox County) – $5,500
Funds will support efforts to address mental health challenges facing veterans through peer connection, wellness-focused retreats and outreach programming.
