A Louisville, Kentucky, man was arrested Saturday by Plymouth Police after he pulled out across Michigan Street in front of a city police office, causing the officer to brake quickly.
On December 7, at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon, Officer Enyart was traveling northbound on Michigan Street in his patrol vehicle, having passed Klinger Street.
The officer observed a blue Chevy Impala drive out of the entrance drive to the Northgate Mobile Home Park at Duke of Oil, drive straight across the southbound lanes of Michigan Street and into the median area to turn northbound onto Michigan Street.
Officer Enyart was driving in the passing lane of Michigan Street with another northbound vehicle in the driving lane beside him. The driver of the Impala continued to turn into the passing lane, causing the officer to brake quickly.
Officer Enyart turned on his siren to make a traffic stop, and the driver slowed down and began changing into the driving lane, almost side-swiping the vehicle beside the officer.
The officer found that the driver, 22-year-old Jimmy Lamuru-Rodriguez of Kentucky, was unlicensed and had never obtained a driver's license. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and lodged for operating a motorized vehicle without receiving a license with a $100 cash bond. He was given a Marshall Superior Count II date of January 14, 2025, for his initial hearing.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
