Former Clinton City Councilman John D. Moore has been named the new Mayor of Clinton.
A caucus was held Saturday morning. Moore held off challenges from fellow candidates: Amanda Sue Allen and Dot Farr Lindsay.
Moore fills the vacancy left following the death of former Mayor Jack Gilfoy. Moore will serve until the end of 2027.
