Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to Grace Baptist Church at 1830 North Michigan Street at about 6:30 Thursday evening for a subject who was beating on a vehicle.
Joey Lemler, 30, of Hickory Road in Arogs was inside a rental vehicle with his mother; he was agitated and vandalizing the vehicle. Lemler's mother wanted him out of the vehicle as the vehicle had sustained damage from him. Lemler refused to get out of the vehicle, so officers removed him from the vehicle.
Joey Lemler resisted while being taken into custody and also committed battery on a police officer while being placed in a patrol car. Lemler also expressed his desire to shoot all officers involved.
Joey Lemler was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked for Criminal Mischief, Resisting Law Enforcement, Battery on Law Enforcement Officer, and Intimidation. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
