Time is running out for local college students and recent graduates to apply for an Indiana House Republican internship for the 2025 legislative session.
Interested college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates of all majors should complete the application before Oct. 31.
House interns work full-time Monday through Friday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, earning $900 biweekly. This spring semester opportunity runs from early January to late April during the legislative session.
The program offers positions for students to work in various departments related to their studies, including legislative operations, policy, and communications.
While at the Statehouse, interns have access to career and professional development assistance, enrollment access to an Indiana government class, opportunities to earn academic credits through their college or university, and free parking.
Interns also have the chance to compete for a prestigious $3,000 scholarship to help with their undergraduate and graduate expenses.
This is a great way to gain valuable hands-on experience that can serve as a launch pad for any career path. I encourage students interested in this opportunity to apply before the Oct. 31 deadline.
